I get it; the industry moves fast now and these social media influencers need to keep chasing something new to keep their audience engaged. 6 months ago, MCP was the hot ticket. Now it’s a has-been; blamed for context bloat while often not even considering the tradeoffs and similar traps with custom CLIs. The masses following along have seemingly lost all critical thought in so far as engineering discipline goes.
I am happy to report, that the IRC chat of Guix is both surprisingly active and very welcoming. I was able to join in and participate in discussions as a complete newcomer and I never once felt like people were ignoring me or valuing my opinion less due to my newness. This is excellent and a high standard for any other community to strive for.
